Avoiding injury while Foam Rolling

Hey Health & Fitness Professionals! Yeah! All you personal trainers, strength coaches, yoga instructors, aerobics teachers! Here is how to avoid injury while foam rolling!

You spend enough time in the gym that you’ve probably seen it all: weird technique on a rowing machine, incredible cell phone use and completely odd ways to use equipment. But you’ve probably also seen a lot of clients that will simply avoid equipment just because they don’t know how it works!

Now if you’re worth the sweat-wicking, body mapping, seamless, technical T-shirt you’re wearing, you know that stretching is a must for injury prevention. And foam rolling is a great way to get clients to stretch because it’s a lot more effective then asking them to stretch their hamstrings then watching them sit on the floor with one leg splayed out.

But how often do those foam rollers get left in a corner simply because clients don’t know how to use them? Too often. And what clients don’t know, can hurt them!

So take a second and educate your clients on how to roll out their bodies. Need a little refresher on proper use? (pssstt… you can use it on more than just your quads) Check out the Travel Roller Youtube Channel!

It’s got a ton of ways to roll out, including this quick taste for the upper back.
