Calgary Techshop Selling Travel Roller and Travel Roller XL!
Travel Designer and Developer, Adam Wood, worked at the Calgary Techshop from 1999-2002 during the same time he competed on the Canadian National Bobsleigh Team. "It is a great feeling to have a product I worked so passionately on to be sold at my favorite running shoe store in Calgary. The Techshop has a special place in my history as I spent 3 summers working as a sales associate, during that time I cultivated a serious interest in biomechanics as I carefully worked with literally thousands of customers find the best shoes to fit their unique gait and biomechanical differences. It was a pleasure to work there as an athlete, and now I hope many of my former running shoe customers will purchase a Travel Roller from the Techshop!" - Adam Wood
In 1974, John Forzani along with three Calgary Stampeder team-mates opened a 1,200 square foot retail location in Calgary known as "Forzani's Locker Room". The business grew steadily allowing the Company to expand its initial athletic footwear business to include clothing, licensed apparel and sports equipment.
In 1975, The TechShop by Forzani's opened and became Alberta’s original running and walking store. Our commitment to customer service, product knowledge, extensive product assortment, and the community makes us a long time consumer favorite. The TechShops' are staffed by athletes that take the time to understand their customer’s footwear and apparel needs. Each store is focused on running and walking but specialize in unique sports and fitness needs- especially hard to fit feet.
Our staff will inquire as to how much you walk, jog, or run. They will ask if you are experiencing any pain or discomfort during your activity. They will evaluate the type of footwear or apparel you are currently using to see if it supports your specific exercise goals. They will then recommend a product that best suits you in terms of comfort, support, and performance.

The Travel Roller made a session appearance with Josh Rubin NMT, CHEK faculty, of East West healing www.eastwesthealing.com as part of his upper back thoracic mobilization segment of one of his inspiring educational sessions.
The Travel Roller was part of the Muscle up booth and many attendees walked away with their very own Travel Rollers.

Lake Louise Ski Pro's get Rolling!
A one hour This Is How We Roll workshop centered on use of the Travel Roller to optimize skiing biomechanics was conducted by the Travel Roller Education Team. All of the Lake Louise ski pro's got rolling and have there very own Travel Rollers. The session was focused on correcting over developed and high muscle tone anterior chains to relieve patellar femoral syndrome and low back compensation which are prevalent with most prolific skiers.

Charlie Francis world class power speed coach endorses and uses Travel Roller. The former coach of the world's fastest man and high performance coach Charlie Francis released his latest series of educational products which included the use of the Travel Roller in advanced segments of self myofascial release. The video featuring Travel Roller addresses many of the complaints from Athletes and Coaches alike about problems resulting from lack of facilities and poor weather conditions. While most sprinters chase the sun, many have to contend with the harsh reality of bad weather and lack of facilities. Charlie’s former squad certainly fell into this category, yet achieved international success and perhaps this is why Charlie does not accept such complaints as a justifiable excuse for poor preparation. In this video series Charlie and wife Angela Coon, former Canadian National Team 100m Hurdler, present several general conditioning workouts for athletes of different levels that can be done almost anywhere. This is the advanced segment, which runs 1hr 41minutes and includes in depth commentary from both Charlie Francis and Angela Coon.

A.I.R. Training System Website Goes Live!
It is with great satisfaction that the first complete presentation of the A.I.R. Training System has been made public with the new website www.airtrainingsystem.com . This marks the first step in the development of the entire system of training tools, DVD's, and texts. The website provides a basic introduction to the A.I.R. Training System philosophy which has been under development for the past decade.
If there are any Travel Roller practitioners asking 'what's next?', all of there questions will be answered on the new site. The complete A.I.R. Training System is being implemented at the Institute. The products will be made public in the coming years as the DVD's are planned and filmed.
